What better gift to get your future spouse than yourself!? Bridal boudoir is a great way to create some anticipation before your wedding day and take some stress off from the wedding planning to pamper yourself. Some women even opt to gift their boudoir photos on the morning of the wedding! That’s one way to guarantee your groom will show up at the end of the aisle! 😉
When planning for your bridal boudoir session it’s super important to allow enough time from the day of the shoot to receiving your images and products. The album is the most popular gift option for the wedding day so if you are purchasing an album it’s important to allow enough time for design revisions as well as shipping. I typically recommend scheduling your boudoir shoot no later than 3 months out from your wedding day to be completely sure your photos will be ready in time for the big day. If you are cutting it close, we can also look at options to expedite your images so make sure to be upfront about any deadlines so we can make sure to keep those in mind.
A great way to really personalize your boudoir session and make you really feel like a blushing bride is to bring some of your bridal accessories. Consider bringing items like your veil or hairpiece, your wedding shoes or your garter to add some sexy bridal touches to the shoot. (Not wearing a long wedding veil? No sweat I have one in studio that we can use!) Also lingerie pieces that feel especially bridal can also be a nice touch such as a white lace teddy or white bra and panties set. If you’ll have a special robe you plan to wear for your wedding, you might want to bring that too!
Lastly, make sure to have your engagement ring cleaned since we will be photographing it up close! You can also consider bringing some of your bridal jewelry, but remember less is more so you will want to keep it very subtle and minimal.
